A male pedestrian was struck by a hit and run driver in Lancaster and killed on Saturday.
The accident happened about 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Ave. L and 35 th St. West. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has not reported whether the driver was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident, nor have they released his identity.
Officials found the man lying in the middle of the street. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There are four traffic cameras at the intersection, which authorities will be reviewing.
