A two vehicle crash in Bellflower on Friday killed one person and seriously injured another. The car accident involved an SUV and a Corvette.
According to Sergeant Joe Woodries of the Lakewood Sheriff's Station, the accident happened about 7 p.m. on Alondra Blvd., just east of Woodruff Ave.
A 49-year-old woman was ejected from her SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene. She may not have been wearing a seatbelt. Her daughter, 20-years-old, was also injured in the accident. She was transported to a local hospital, along with her 18-month-old daughter.
The driver of the Corvette involved in the collision, a man in his 40's, was also injured. The cause of the car accident remains under investigation. According to investigators, speeding may have been a factor.
