A bicyclist was struck by a car in Belmont Shore on Tuesday.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a bike accident caused by a negligent motorist, you should talk to a bike accident lawyer about your right to compensation. The driver must pay you for your medical bills, any lost wages, the damage to your bike, and pain and suffering.
It may not be immediately apparent how serious your injuries are. At the scene of an accident, your adrenaline is pumping and you may be in shock. You may not realize how bad off you are until hours later, or even the next day. If you were injured in a bike accident, we recommend that you see a medical provider as soon as possible after the accident. If you delay seeking treatment, even for a few days, the driver's insurance company will use that against you, contending you could not have suffered serious injuries or you would have treated sooner.
We recommend that you do not speak with the driver's insurance company. The insurance adjuster’s goal is not to treat you fairly, but to pay you as little as possible. You would be better off having an experienced accident attorney advocating for you.
